Cell Phone

Cell phone use is permitted in the 3rd floor public areas and in the elevator lobby areas of the 4th and 5th floor. In all other areas on these floors no audible cell phone use is permitted. Cell phones are to be in the vibrate or text messaging mode only.

No audible cell phone use is permitted within the Media Library on the 2nd floor.

No audible cell phone use is permitted in the Instruction Labs on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors.

This policy, which applies to areas under Library jurisdiction, will be enforced by the Library Security Officers as they patrol these areas.

Signs will be placed in areas where cell phones are not to be heard in use. Suggested wording is: Out of respect for others, please set your cell phone on vibrate or use text messaging.
