#6--Article Search
with Citation in the CSUSM Research Databases
First--You need the JOURNAL title in order to search the catalog
The CSUSM Library catalog will not take you to article level links, but will tell you if and where the journal title is available, saving you valuable time rather than having to individually search over 100 databases.
Using this example:
Lansford, J. E., Chang. L., Dodge, K. A., Malone, P. S.. Oburu, P., & Palmérus, K., et al. (2005). Physical discipline and children's adjustment: Cultural normativeness as a moderator. Child Development 76(6), 1234-1246.
Second--Open the library catalog (simple search will do)

Third--You may need to 'drill down' a couple of screens to find the Child Development JOURNAL

Fourth--You are now in the database. The first results will be for ALL articles published in that journal. Add some words from the article title and author's last name in the search box.

Fifth--The article from the example is the only result returned!

Sixth--if the article's text is not available. See librarian for help!
