Homework # 2:

• Rate a scholarly article for its content
  Find a scholarly article, complete the worksheet and bring to next class.  Attach whole article to sheet. 

Homework # 3:

Complete at least one of these forms (book or article) and bring to next class.  Must be typed.
Hint:  By completing these worksheets for all of your articles, books, etc, you will have all the information you need in one place when you are ready to cite and annotate for the annotated bibliography.

• Review interactive web tutorial  "Oops! I plagiarized--Citing and Documenting Sources" from the UCLA Bruin Success with Less Stress website.
• Take "guiz" at end of section
• At the end of the quiz, you will be asked: "Would you like to email your grade to somebody?

One  book citation (APA format), CSUSM location and call number --  4 pts
One scholarly article citation (APA format) with annotation -- 12 pts
One  professional article  (APA format) with annotation-- 12 pts
One credible website (APA format) with evaluative abstract -- 12 pts
Attach a copy of the first page of each article -- 4 pts
Relevance of choices to research topic, general formatting and grammar -- 4 pts

What makes a good annotation:
1.  It is not a summary--look at the Example
2.  There is some indication that you read the article.
3.  Article must be from a scholarly or professional source Ask if you are not sure.
