Written for citizens of the state, the Attorney Generals office has written a guide book to the most commonly asked questions concerning discrimination.  Material for the book was gathered from law case studies, and directories.  It is the most recent edition of the title.  This information could also be gathered from the California web site (www.ca.gov) but one would have to search in multiple places.

The news article on the web site of the National Organization for Women describes a recent settlement of a law suit and its impact on women and wage discrimination.  Since this is political organization material will reflect their philosophy.  It encourages membership and advocacy of women’s rights.

Summarizing comments about the research

This is a challenging and rewarding experience.  A lot of articles I found on the computer are not available from our library.  I had to go through a long list before I could locate one that our library has. Internet search was exciting. I thought I knew all about the Web. But I did learn a few more search tricks from the class.
