Academic Search Premier
Our most popular database. Covers a wide array of subjects with full text for nearly 1,850 scholarly journals, including more than 1,250 peer-reviewed titles.
 
Project Muse
Full-text coverage for hundreds of scholarly journals in the humanities and social sciences.
 
JSTOR
Contains complete full-text back files (EXCEPT for the latest five years) of core scholarly journals in many areas, including language and literature.
 
Blackwell
Blackwell includes over 800 journals in Literature, Humanities, and other areas.
 
Sage Journals Online
Sage Journals Online includes over 460 journals in Humanities and other areas.
 
Johns Hopkins Guide to Literary Theory & Criticism
Informative introduction to major people and ideas in the world of literary theory and criticism.

When you do research, it's important to cite your sources, to document where you got ideas and quotes from.
Use MLA style for your paper and bibliography.

Other resources:

  • KnightCite: A free online tool. Pick MLA citation style and type of resource to cite. Keep in mind, you'll need to review the results for accuracy.
  • From UCLA Bruins Success, tips on how to quote, summarize and paraphrase your sources.
