Instructor: Kristine Diekman The assignment: Each reading
in this course will be accompanied by a required position paper of no more than 2 pages in
which students summarize the reading and critically respond to it. Competency #1 articulate a research question, issue
or problem. Response may include material from related
lectures, screenings and individual research. Competency #4 make selections from, integrate, and synthesize information
retrieved in the search. Students must bring this paper to class each week as it will
serve as notes for class discussion and will be handed in to the instructor.

Make links within the site, paying close attention to the "Digital Digressions" essay. Make at least one link to an area outside the site. For instance, there is a link to Disney animation. Be prepared to discuss this site, plus take us in class to areas within and outside of the site which you find of interest. We will have a computer on-line in class. Competency #6 use computer literacy skills. Your position paper should be based on reading at the Edward Earle site. Competency #8 develop long-term, adaptable, cross-disciplinary research skills. |
