Introduction of Facilitator and Recorder

Role of Facilitator, Recorder and Group

Agenda Review -- Marilyn Snider, Facilitator -- Snider and Associates

Introduction of the Group (be prepared to give a brief example of a time when you made a costly mistake because you did not have or could not find the information you needed)

What Information Competencies are Needed?

  • Review a List of Information Competencies

  • Select 4 or 5 Challenging Competencies to Address Today

How Will the Students Develop the Selected Competencies and Who Will Direct Their Learning?

Identify Characteristics of a Model Information Competency Program

  • Brainstorm

  • By Consensus Select 5-7 Characteristics

Match Program Model Characteristics With Current Local Practices

  • What do we have in place?

  • What is missing?

  • Identify Next Steps to Address the Gaps and Put a Model IC Program in Place
