Many Web sites have an ‘About
this site’
page that has basic information such as the author, date
of creation, and purpose of the site.
The trick is locating the About information,
assuming it is present. Most commonly a link is provided at the homepage
level of the site. A link may also appear in the footer at the bottom of
individual Web pages or in some part of the navigation structure. About
information may be a part of the help section of the site. And, of
course, it may not be named ‘About’ so look for likely names such as ‘overview,’ ‘summary,’ ‘purpose,’ etc.
