CLNET
A Latino organization which focuses on the appreciation of the Latino heritage through a Virtual Latino museum, a Latino-oriented library, student and community centers, and an employment center.

English as a Second Language Home Page
Starting point for ESL learners who want to learn English through the World Wide Web. Contains lots of links to other sites.

Lesson plans
Created by ESL teachers for specific subject areas such as weather, cooking, and art.

National Association for Bilingual Education
NABE promotes educational excellence and equity through bilingual education.

National Clearinghouse for English Language Acquisition
Users can locate a wide variety of information, including the full-text of NCBE's publications and selected journal articles, announcements from the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Bilingual Education and Minority Languages Affairs (OBEMLA), access to NCBE's bibliographic and directory databases, and a calendar of education-related conferences and meetings.

The National Endowment for Humanities
Is an independent agency of the United States Government that makes grants for projects in history, languages, philosophy, and other areas of the humanities.

The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International
Provides humanitarian grants which improve the quality of life throughout the world; and sponsors international ambassadors of goodwill through educational awards to university students and teachers and through international exchanges of business and professional people.

The White House Fellowships

American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE)
National association of colleges and universities with teacher education programs. Membership information, publications, news items, and links to related sites are available here.

American Association of University Women
Advocacy organization for women in higher education. Works to influence policy; offers fellowships and grants; fights sex discrimination in higher education.

American Council on Education:
Organization is the nation's coordinating higher education association. It provides a forum for discussion of major issues related to higher education and represents the nation's colleges and universities in political and policy discussions.

Black Issues in Higher Education
Web site for the nation's only news magazine dedicated to minority issues in higher education. Includes links to news briefs from throughout the United States.

Chronicle of Higher Education
Web site for the premier newspaper for college and university personnel. News articles from across the nation and job advertisements make this a valuable site for college teacher and administrators.

College News Online
Campus news wire site with links to many student newspapers. A campus index links users to colleges and universities in the U.S. and abroad.

ERIC Clearinghouse on Higher Education
Site of the clearinghouse responsible for collecting and abstracting materials written about higher education. Features links to ERIC digests, bibliographies, and other resources.

Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)
Web site for the accrediting body for schools and colleges in the western United States. Lists the commissions of the association. Also provides a directory of all accredited schools and colleges in the region.

Kids Web

Midlink Magazine
The electronic magazine for kids in the middle grades--generally ages 10 to 15. Browse through our pages to enjoy art and writing that will link middle school kids all over the world. MidLink will be published bi-monthly, and each issue will have a new and exciting theme.

The Cisco Educational Archives
Contains a list of schools on-line and a virtual schoolhouse to visit including student and teacher projects.

Access Excellence
Is a national educational program sponsored by the biotechnology industry pioneer, Genentech, Inc., that puts high school biology teachers in touch with their colleagues, scientists and critical sources of new scientific information through an online network. This site contains many resources that are useful for science teachers and students.

Eisenhower National Clearinghouse
For Mathematics and Science Education (ENC) is providing information about all types of instructional resources including books, videos, software, CD-ROMs, kits, and online resources. Through different products and services, ENC describes these resources for teachers and other educators. The Digital Curriculum Laboratory (DCL), ENC's online component, is a comprehensive Internet site for math and science education. It is designed to assist teachers in locating instructional and other educational resources. The DCL includes links to Internet resources for science and math teaching as well as the ENC Catalog of Curriculum Resources.

Geometry Forum
Contains projects for students, software, discussion groups, and pages specifically related to different levels of mathematics and geometry education.

MathMagic
Is a K-12 telecommunications project that provides strong motivation for students to use computer technology while increasing problem-solving strategies and communications skills. MathMagic posts challenges in each of four categories (k-3, 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12) to trigger each registered team to pair up with another team and engage in a problem-solving dialog. When an agreement has been reached, one solution is posted for every pair.

Spacelink
Is an electronic information system designed to provide current educational information to teachers and students throughout the United States.
