Coverage: 1940→current

Also Useful

ScienceDirect
Provides full text access to over 1,000 journals covering all fields of science.
Coverage: 1995→current

Wiley Interscience
Access to abstracts and full text for about 300 mainly science related journals. It includes life sciences, chemistry, physics, mathematics, psychology, earth sciences, and business among others.
Coverage: 1996→current

Proceedings
Abstracts from conference proceedings worldwide

Zentralblatt MATH is the world's most complete and longest running abstracting and reviewing service in pure and applied mathematics. The Zentralblatt MATH Database contains more than 2.0 million entries drawn from more than 2300 serials and journals and covers the period from 1868 - present by the recent integration of the Jahrbuch database (JFM). The entries are classified according to the Mathematics Subject Classification Scheme (MSC 2000).

Journals

CSUSM subscribes to the following journals on mathematics and related fields. The great majority are electronic and a few are available only in print at the library. For some, only back issues are available.

CSUSM science journals
For those who like to browse a list, this is an Excel spreadsheet of all CSUSM periodicals (print and electronic) in call number ranges GB, GC, GE, Q, , R, S, & T. Search the library catalog by Title if you do not find the title you are looking for.

Pre-Prints

A list of pre-print servers.

Associations

A list of professional organizations in the discipline of mathematics and related fields.

Portals

One stop shopping for the mathematician looking for resources on the web.

  • BUBL Catalog of Internet Resources: Mathematics and Computing
BUBL is the name of a catalogue of selected Internet resources covering all academic subject areas and catalogued according to DDC (Dewey Decimal Classification). All items are selected, evaluated, catalogued and described. Links are checked and fixed each month. BUBL 5:15 provides an alternative interface to this catalogue, based on subject terms rather than DDC. The aim is to guarantee at least 5 relevant resources for every subject included, and a maximum of 15 resources for most subjects, hence the name 5:15.

  • dmoz.org: Math
The Open Directory Project's mathematics node.

  • EULER Search Engine
The EULER services provide a gateway to the electronic catalogues and repositories of participating institutions, while the latter retain complete responsibility and control over the creation and maintenance of their data collections as well as the access provisions pertaining to their offerings.

  • Yahoo! Mathematics
Believe or not, Yahoo! is still a great directory.
