I Am Somebody,

I am somebody.
I am a diamond in the rough.

I gotta keep a strong mind
so I can be successful.
I got this fire inside of me,
so I’m going to make it.

People so-called family
say I’m a screw-up, a loser,
say I don’t love my kids.

LOL.

Do you know me?

I love and live strong.

I’m a diamond in the rough,
and I stand on business.
My fire inside is lit.

I am somebody.

People try to tell me I am nobody,
so I ask ’em:
“How do you know me, then?”

I’ll tell you and show you
who I am.

I am somebody loved,
and I love hard.
