I am Tauney

I am fierce and resilient.
I have eye catching golden brown eyes.
That is where you can look into my soul.
There you will see all my pain and heartaches.
I hide it with my genuine smile.
A smile that can melt away anger.
Fake it to make it, I tell myself to get through the day.
I am a mother, daughter, granddaughter,
sister, cousin, and niece.
My greatest role is my promotion to motherhood.
My heart is full with the love from my child.
My scars show where I’ve been, not who I am.
I am in a place where most would say I am not free.
They are wrong.
I am free indeed by my savior Jesus Christ.
My faith sustains me.
I am Tauney.
