Scars,

I have scars Scars that can be found all over my body
They aren’t hard to find

They cause people to gasp
People ask questions
They feel bad.
But those wounds were the easy ones.
To heal.

If only people could see the ones inside.
The ones I’ve spent years
mending, tending, nurturing

Those scars really mean something
Those scares represent transformation
Redemption, forgiveness, hope.

I have scars
You may not see them all
But they are there
To heal.
