What Do You See?,

What do you see when you look at me?
Do you see the villain, a menace to society
Who deserves to be locked up for all eternity
What do you see when you look at me?
Maybe you see a felon who's committed multiple felonies.
An aggressive, angry, dangerous individual
who you can never see yourself holding a conversation with
or even have anything in common with?
When you look at my smile what do you truly see?
Look at my picture I want you to see
someone who made a mistake that I don’t want to define me.
I want you to see someone intelligent, and kind.
Someone who cares about all people
and wants to walk the line.
I want you to look at me and see something good
so I’ll ask you one more time what do you see?
Because all I want is for you to see me for me!
