Love How You Live

I can walk into a room
Full of smoke, or full of
Uncertainty, bad air, bad
Energy. But.
          It is up to me to
Walk out.
It is up to me to balance
Out my life.
By my growth I'm pushing the toxins out
  My surgery scar, from the bottom of my stomach
    To the point under my chest
      52 staples
        Cut opened at a time in my life to take out bullets
          To stop the internal bleeding
            To sew my insides that ruptured
Though, it healed with pure honey and a touch
          Of god's grace
Like the air that my lungs take in, my body took in those bullets.
Those bullets had to be taken out just like the toxins do in my life
My choices led me to that point, and I fought to breathe.
For moments at a time there was zero oxygen flowing.
     - I couldn't breathe -
I couldn't control what was put into my body or taken out.
I was the result of what I breathed and breathed out.
But just like my surgery scar, was given tools of Grace
To Live and be seen despite the things that ruptured my life body and soul.
