W.B. Baker tap handle patent, August 31, 1897.The Brewchive® is a comprehensive archive of San Diego county's brewing activity from personal and business aspects starting with the 1980s. The Brewchive® holds evidence in a wide variety of forms from individuals, breweries, organizations, and affiliated businesses involved primarily with beer, but also cider, mead, kombucha and distilled spirits.

Archives are meant to be active learning and research resources. We welcome your participation in collecting history as it is made. Please contact us for more information about how you can be part of documenting San Diego craft brew history.

Many Brewchive® materials are partially processed and may be available for research even if they are not listed here. Please contact us if you are researching San Diego County brewing and do not find what you are looking for below. Some brewing-related materials may appear in our regional special collections.
