Research Help

  • Live Chat with a librarian for your research needs 24/7.
    • A CSUSM librarian is available by Chat:
      Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.
      Friday, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
    • All other times a non-CSUSM librarian will be picking up the chat and can help with general reference questions but may forward your information to a CSUSM librarian for further help.
  • Find your subject specialist librarian who can tailor help to your particular focus. Live chat and video consultation appointments are available.

Online Materials & Tools

Physical Materials

  • Due dates for most physical materials have been extended to June 15, 2021.
  • You can still get books now that the library building is closed.
  • You can still place ILL requests and we will try to get a digital version of the item for you. If a digital version is not available we will request a physical copy and mail it to your preferred address.
  • The Library is scanning and providing access to Reserves materials digitally as quickly as possible. Check to see if your course materials are available.
